Monochrome
As a photography project for 2022, I started a gallery of Monochrome photos and re-edits others as monochrome to experiment qand learn better B&W photography techniques. I am planning to transition to a new project for 2023 but I may add a few photos here as time passes. For ease of tracking, I will change the gallery cover photo when I update the images. I am adding dated posted (date taken) at the first and exposure information at the end.

Cheetah Enclosure
Nov 9th (10/16/2022) - Another photo from The Wilds trip. Usually fences bother me in wildlife photos but i like the texture and context this adds. 1/800 sec at f/6.3, ISO 125 and 600MM

Coyote Hunting in Prairie Dog Town
Aug 28th (5/18/2021) - The sound of Prairie Dogs barking alerted everything to the presence of a coyote. The hunt was thwarted. You can see the shadow of our hero in the bottom left corner. 1/1250 sec at f/6.3, ISO 2200 and 600MM

Windy in Crestone
July 27th (5/29/2021) - Carri has a friend here in Crestone Colorado which is close to the Great Sand Dunes National Park. A bit of a play on word with windy as I have no idea of the lady’s name, but the gusts were strong. The mountains are the Sangre de Cristo, and the forest is the San Isabel National Forest. 1/2000 sec at f/3.2, ISO 80 and 60MM
Acadia National Park
July 24th (6/18/2022) - Rainy day at Acadia National Park Maine. I will hopefully get to see the area in full fall foliage one day. 1/6 sec at f/8, ISO 64 and 35MM
A White Mountain View

Around the Point
July 14th (6/13/2022) - Again using new images from my vacation, this is from Holland State Pake in Michigan. Normally i would prefer a nice sky but that wasn’t to be had and I actually think in monochrome that isn’t an issue overall. . 1/640 sec at f/8, ISO 80 and 150MM
Champlain Monument
July 7th (6/17/2022) - It is a bit cliche to do a monument on Black and White, but they always seem to look better that way. This is the Champlain Monument Lighthouse in New York State on Lake Champlain. It is part of the Crown Point Historic area that also has His Majesty’s Fort and Fort St Frederic. The picture is taken from the Vermont side of the boarder. 1/160 sec at f/11, ISO 72 and 150MM
Adirondack Park Stream

OSoF
May 24th (8/14/2021) -Another from the photo session wtih The Ohio School of Falconry. They provided 2 models in medieval garb. The birds didn’t like the reflector and figured flash wouldn’t be safe either so we worked around the dappled forest lighting. I dont do portrait photography so it was a challenge for me. 1/320 at f/3.3, ISO 280 and 68MM
