Niagra Falls

Our first stop for 2022 was Niagra Falls. A few years ago, Carri and I spent our anniversary in Niagra on the Canadian side. This trip was a bit different for a couple of reasons. First, our anniversary is in early February which was bitterly cold. Second, this time we stayed on the New York side of the boarder.

If you plan a visit, both sides have their strengths. During the prime season and on the weekends in winter, there are fireworks over the falls and the falls are lit. These are visible on either side. In Canada we did it from the comfort of our room. In New York, you need to go to Niagra State Park to catch the show.

As a side note there is a rule in photography that you should use a tripod for night landscapes. I did not use mine. I wish I could say it was because I am a rebel and not just lazy.
