Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore

After the night photography at Mackinac, I went directly to Sleeping Bear Dunes to overnight. This allowed me to start at dawn in the park. Thanks to a suggestion from my former friend Thomas, I did an early camera-less hike called the “Dune Climb” to the lake. Thomas is masochistic bastard for suggesting a fat old dude do that hike. Kidding. Mostly. It was fun actually.

After the hike, I drove Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive with the last bit of golden hour light. This is another spot to return with both the wife and more time. Among other things, I inexplicably missed/forgot the lighthouse.
